The Twentieth Meeting of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Program and Development Research was held on wednesday, July 30, 2025, with the presence of Dr. Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht, Editor-in-Chief; Dr. Seyed Mehdi Pakzat, Managing Director of the Journal and President of the Center for Development Research and Foresight; Dr. Mohammadvali Rouzbehan, Deputy for Research and Education of the Center; along with other esteemed members of the Editorial Board. The meeting took place both in person and virtually at the premises of the Center.
The session commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a comprehensive report presented by the Journal’s Director on the latest performance status of the journal and the process of article review and acceptance. The members then engaged in a detailed discussion of the report and shared their insights on strengthening the journal’s scientific standing and enhancing the quality of its published articles.
Furthermore, it was resolved that, in order to improve research standards, a revision of the journal’s guidelines should be undertaken. The new principles and updated scientific criteria will be emphasized and implemented in both the article preparation process and the peer review system. This decision aims to enhance the academic credibility of the journal and increase its impact within the country’s research community.
Finally, it was reaffirmed that professors, researchers, and students are invited to access the full texts of all published articles through the journal’s website at www.journaldfrc.ir, and to submit their scholarly works addressing key issues of the Iranian economy, challenges of the budgeting and development planning system, governance matters, and topics related to foresight and futures studies for possible publication in the journal.
