The Extraordinary Joint Meeting of the Research Council of the Center for Development Research and Foresight and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Program and Development Research was held on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Dr. Azimi Hall of the Center.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht (Editor-in-Chief of the Journal), Dr. Seyed Mehdi Pakzat (Managing Director of the Journal and President of the Center for Development and Foresight Research), as well as esteemed members of the Research Council and the Editorial Board.
The main purpose of this meeting was to review and exchange views on the special issue of the journal dedicated to “Iran’s Outlook.” In this regard, members presented their perspectives and suggestions regarding the thematic framework, publication schedule, and measures to enhance the scholarly quality of the special issue’s articles.
In conclusion, it was decided that, based on the discussions and proposals presented, the process of drafting and finalizing the guidelines and core topics of the special issue would be pursued and implemented jointly by the Research Council and the Editorial Board.
